Happy Birthday

It seems not that long ago that my sweet, curly-headed baby was content with the simpler things of life, sigh...

She is still pretty contented, but the "simple things" cost a lot more!

Paul had surgery on Friday the 13th (everything went well) to fix (hopefully) his I.T. band so that he can return to his one true love, cycling! (He is still secretly hoping to be the first over 40 winner of the Tour de France, shh, it's a secret.) Anyway, out of consideration for his convalescence, Rachel opted to just have a small friend party at the Lehi pool, in exchange for an expensive gift, an ipod touch (she really wanted a phone, but I'm not ready). We tried to fit in all the things we usually do for birthdays, we just had to work them around Paul's surgery. Thursday night she chose The Spaghetti Factory for her birthday dinner, and luckily her friend Ashton was able to come so that, it wouldn't be too lame with just her parents and brothers.

We wrapped up a weekend of festivities on Sunday, with a birthday cake and dinner at Grandma's. Love you Rach!
